Meet Oghenereke – Our Newest Software Engineer

Cervus are delighted that Oghenereke is joining us for a year-long placement as part of her course in Information Security at Royal Holloway.  She brings a wealth of experience, having completed her undergraduate degree in Computing Science at the University of Aberdeen.

During her placement Oghenereke will be involved in supporting HIVE, our data analytics engine, delivering on projects and enhancing our capabilities, especially in the field of cyber security.  It is great to have her expertise in this area and we are all looking forward to seeing her bring the skills that she’s learnt during her degree to Cervus.

Oghenereke Says:

“Before applying for my placement, I wanted to find a place where I can get real-world experience working in industry, and gain more technical knowledge to improve myself as well as the company. So far, I have gained a lot of insight into how projects are handled, how to use simulation software including VBS and VR-Forces as well as tips and tricks in programming. By the end of my placement, I hope to have a stronger understanding of the work done by the defence industry and to have a positive impact on IT practices concerning security and while gaining a more in-depth understanding of the development of software.”

Chris Rolfs, Cervus’ CTO Said:

“It is great that Oghenereke is joining us for the year and continue our engagement with providing those looking for a placement a chance to understand working in industry and demonstrating how they can make a difference to the business. She already is making an impact and looking forward to how she works with us over the year. Welcome Oghenereke!”
