About the job

As a Cervus Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, delivery, and reporting of projects across assigned UK and international Defence customers, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are met.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the Armed forces, Defence primes, and wider defence ecosystem.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams and team leads, including engineering, delivery, and product management – to ensure clarity, alignment, and seamless execution.
  • Support the development of proposals, delivery plans, and customer documentation.
  • Track progress against milestones, manage risks and issues, and provide structured project reporting.
  • Ensure project activities align with Cervus’ quality management processes and contribute to maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 principles.
  • Represent Cervus at customer meetings, demonstrations, and industry events.
  • Identify opportunities for process, product, and service improvement, championing customer needs throughout.

Who We’re Looking For

In this role, you will oversee end‑to‑end project delivery performance for assigned projects, build strong customer relationships, and ensure our delivery teams are set up to successfully deliver to our contractual commitments.

Working closely across our organisation with operational delivery, business development, product and engineering teams, you will help shape, deliver, and continuously improve projects that support our customers’ decision‑making and capability development.

As demand for our products and services continues to grow across the Defence sector, we are seeking a proactive, organised, and delivery focused Project Manager to lead, support and coordinate key programmes across the UK and international markets.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Skills:

  • Experience delivering projects within Defence, government, technology, or similarly complex environments.
  • Strong project planning, coordination, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Experience managing project finances, reporting, forecasting, or delivery pipelines.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 quality management principles and an understanding of how they support consistent and effective project delivery.
  • High IT proficiency and the ability to quickly understand new technologies and data enabled systems.
  • The ability to interpret customer challenges and translate them into clear, deliverable project outputs.
  • The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
  • A collaborative mindset, positive attitude, and sense of humour.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working internationally or supporting export‑focused programmes.
  • Formal project or programme management training/accreditation (e.g., APM, PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Experience with analytics, data platforms, simulation environments, or software‑led solutions.
  • A full UK driving licence.
