Cervus Defence and Security – Steve Boughton – Appointment of Chairman

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Boughton as Chairman of Cervus Defence and Security.

As our company begins the next stage in our growth journey. Steve, a RAF Veteran, who has been our Non-Executive Director for 9 years, is particularly well-placed to help us grow and to support us in securing the extra talent we need to deliver our strategy and potential.  After a 20-year career in the Royal Air Force, Steve became the Managing Director of defence contractor QinetiQ’s technical consultancy and served on their operational board for six years, using his background in defence experimentation initially and then later specialising in organisational transformation and growth.  More recently he has served in both FTSE-250 and private equity backed transformational roles, and supported us as we have grown and developed the business.  Over the coming months we expect to secure and announce more senior leadership appointments as we enter the next stage of our business strategy.

I am delighted to be appointed as Chair for this innovative company who have worked hard to position themselves as key providers of defence analytics, data exploitation and decision support.  We are committed to build on our hard-earned reputation for quality and delivery in the UK, the US and Middle East, and  most recently in Europe.  I’m looking forward to working with them in this new role and to welcoming additional senior leaders into the team.

This is a great and very natural step forward for us as we continue to scale and grow, and we’re delighted that Steve has stepped into the role for us.  We’re busy, with contracts in the UK and Europe, plus our work within the OMNIA partnership, and there’s much more we want to do, so strengthening our leadership team still further will help us now and in the future.
