Cervus is moving to Porton Science Park

Exciting times at Cervus, and we want to share some news with you. We are moving to Porton Science Park (PSP) near Salisbury after nearly 5 years in Heywood House in Westbury.

We continue to grow and have been looking for a while  for somewhere which reflects our increasing focus on Data Science.  We believe that the science park is establishing itself as a major centre of excellence in Life Sciences, Biotechnology and Data Science. It is also situated alongside established R&D institutions including the Ministry of Defence’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and Public Health England (PHE) Porton.

This is also a convenient business location as it has good access to both London and Bristol and is close to Navy Headquarters, Army Headquarters and the Air/Maritime and Land Warfare Centers. It is also located adjacent to the British Army’s largest training area; Salisbury Plain.

The vision for Porton Science Park is to become a focus for innovation and market growth in its target sectors, through the provision of specialist services delivered in partnership with stakeholder organisations. A fully funded three year programme establishes a Health and Life Sciences Hub across the Swindon and Wiltshire area, based out of the PSP. Porton Science Park will support start-up business like us with:
• Dedicated business and venture management support, mentoring and advice
• Dissemination of knowledge and experience, with access to industry specialists
• Sector specific innovation support
• Networking and training opportunities
• Access to funding.

The Incubation Centre has been created with growing start up businesses in mind. Specialist services include access to specialist equipment, technical expertise, collaborative research between businesses and the research community, and active linkages with existing innovation networks, higher education, and knowledge based industries, knowledge transfer networks and national and international knowledge bases.

Our move to Porton Science Park represents a step change in how we see ourselves and how we are seen across the industry. We feel that we are now at the cutting edge of simulation, training exploitation and analytics and are looking forward to our next exciting chapter in our innovative and growing company.

Sarah Simms- Programme Manager

“We have had a great couple of years at Heywood House. It has given us the space to grow and we have been supported throughout our time by Chris de Costa and the rest of the Landlord’s team. We have a long connection with Heywood, as the founders started our simulation careers here many years ago. We hope the recent transformation of Haywood House into hi-tech office space continues to attract innovation into Wiltshire and therefore we can’t recommend it enough.”
