Cervus are proud to receive a 2017 Silver Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Award (ERS) in recognition of our continued support to the Armed Forces community.
We are one of only 16 organsiations in the South West Region to have been selected for the award this year.
The Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) acknowledges employers who have provided exceptional support to the armed forces community and defence by going above and beyond their covenant pledges. Through a 3 tier approach of bronze, silver and gold awards, the scheme recognises the different levels of commitment provided by employers. This allows the Ministry of Defence to publicly thank and honour those organisation for their support.
Alan Roan, our Managing Director said:
This is the first time we have been given the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award which celebrates our continuous support for the employment of service personnel. In fact 82% of our current workforce is from the Armed Forces community made up of veterans, reservists and spouses, recognising the immense value they bring to their role at Cervus.
We received our Silver Award certificate at the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award Ceremony from the Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mrs Sarah Rose Troughton.
After 24 years in the Army I was fortunate to be offered a job at Cervus Defence & Security Ltd. I feel lucky to be working with professional likeminded people. The company has a great ethos and have been very supportive and flexible in all aspects of transitioning from military to civilian life, making the process much less daunting

We are seeking to to gain our gold award next year.
